Seek1st: Inspired by Matthew 6
The name "Seek1st" draws from Matthew 6 and playfully reflects the human desire to be first—to succeed in what we do. When pursued in alignment with God’s Word, this ambition is not sinful, but it must be measured against His truth.
This truth is the most important priority for our lives in this world—this realm. By using the word "realm," we invite readers to recognize that the physical world we see and experience with our senses is only the beginning of our eternal journey. Yet, this tangible world often conditions us to believe it’s all there is. Despite knowing of Heaven—a different, unseen place—many struggle to reconcile this reality. For most, it’s not a lack of belief but a lack of effort. We often procrastinate or de-prioritize the eternal over the urgent. But we have only one life, and no one knows when we’ll leave this world for the next—whether young or old. Therefore, reflecting on what God has revealed should be at the top of our priority list.
In Matthew 6:33, we read: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” While this verse addresses not being anxious about daily needs like food, clothing, and shelter, "Seek1st" synthesizes broader themes from Matthew 6. Ultimately, prioritizing God’s plan for our lives is the single most important decision we can make in this world.
Seek 1st is an evangelism outreach to those who have not accepted God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone as our savior for sins we cannot pay for. We will hopefully be able to lead lost souls to the realization that all humans are sinners and will be judged for their sins on judgement day as God has told us He will
There is only one thing we must agree on to move forward, and that is that God’s word as revealed in the Holy Bible is the authority for everything. If you agree there is a God, then it would be wise to seek His direction for our lives. If you do not believe God exists, there will be a section to address that (in the future) and hopefully move the reader forward to the next section.
If you are wondering about questions concerning eternity and what God expects from us, I will try and help you find the answer to the question "Who gets to go to Heaven"
